Under the Rainforest Canopy - Red-eyed Tree Frog

The Red-eyed Tree Frog is one of Australia’s most popular and well known frogs, although it is rarely seen due to the fact that it is nocturnal and spends much of its time in the foliage of trees, coming down to breed in water holes, swamps and similar places. It is found along the East Coast of Queensland and Northern NSW. My painting depicts a solitary frog, high up under the rainforest canopy in silent wait for its prey of moths and other insects.
